Best f**king bass solo = anesthesia pulling teeth?
I%26#039;m not that big of a Metallica fan, but I have to agree. Burton was one of the most incredible bassist ever. That solo is pretty much unparalelled.

John Entwhistle of the Who has some incredible bass solos as well. %26quot;My Generation%26quot; has one of their best and most well known.

And don%26#039;t ask people their opinion then b*tch them out when they give it to you.
Reply:He was pretty good, but Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers is pretty good and nobody can touch the bass player for Primus.
Reply:whats the question?
Reply:It is pretty good.
Reply:tool-sober

all tool songs great
Reply:Jack Bruce on Frank Zappa%26#039;s song APOSTROPHE%26#039;
Reply:yes the best les claypool is the bass player for primus and he is very good, he and kirk hammet were friends in high school and kirk asked him to play for the band he was currently in exodus i think and he said yeah but the next day turned him down because he had just joined a band they found cliff in some bar and as they heard him in a different room they said that is some crazy guitarist we got to go meet him and were surprised to find out he was playing a bass he had the style of a guitarist but was playing a bass thats what gave metallica such a kick *** sound and his input into others parts as he was a brilliant composer but since he died they only got the typical bass player and the formula was messed up perhaps if they had les claypool they could regain some of there dignity back but it wouldn%26#039;t be the same but alas better than it has been. hand down best bass solo and hands down best bass player although not most innovative p.s. cliffs favorite song and the one they played at his funeral is orion he does most of the solos on there and helped compose allot of it another example of his greatness R.I.P.
