I own an elliptical machine that I never use, plus i try to do crunches and i have like aerobic video thing I can use as well. I start working out for about a week then I quit. and even to work out that first week its torture. It%26#039;s like I look at my elliptical and groan just thinking about working out. I really have no idea how people find working out to be enjoyable.
What is the secret to finding working out to be fun? It%26#039;s like pulling teeth to get myself to work out.?
I usually like to have a friend to workout with. It helps me and gives me moral support. That way when one wants to give up the other pushes them.
Reply:picture yourself in a sleek new hot body!
Reply:Do it to your favorite dance music. That always helps me!
Reply:Listen to music that puts you in a sortof %26quot;Victorious and a confident%26quot; mood. I think music is very important as yuo can relax and also enjoy your workout as the music will encourage you and give you enthusiasm
Reply:If you can recruit a friend to work out with, that always helps. Sometimes it%26#039;s hard to find someone, but try. Thats what I have to do...otherwise, I just won%26#039;t do it.
Reply:motivate yourself, think how good youll look when you lose weight and listen to music while excercising
Reply:run in a park or if u have a work out bike ride it and watch TV at the same time I do it and it is fun or dance to Music the is a wirk out or jump rope if u need more help email me at thewebkinz13@yahoo.com I will help u!
Reply:The best way to work out it to either find someone to work out with or go to your local YMCA and join a class like ZUMBA it is a dance work out class that is really fun.. They also have cycle classes, cardio punch classes(where you get to bet your frustration out on a bag to up beat music, or water aerobics. Being with others will help motivate you and you can always laugh at how they look doing things....
Reply:Because its work. Dont worry i hate it too.
Reply:you need to force yourself to start with and then it just becomes routine. i find that music is important as well. i have to listen to music that gets me all pumped up. also im in a little competition with a mate so every rep i do i always think of being one over him. lol. also try and picture what you are working for so imagine the %26quot;new%26quot; you that you are trying yo achieve.

Getting my 9 and 6 year old to help out w chores is like pulling teeth. What can I do to motivate them?Reward?
I have a 7 year old and a 2 year old that do chores daily. The way I got it to work was making a schdule and following it everyday. The kids are more inclined to go along with something when it is routine.
For example every morning after breakfast we have our
%26quot;morning chores%26quot; this consist of making beds and cleaning up the breakfast dishes and cleaning up any mess they made. If they don%26#039;t complete the morning chores in the time allowed they will not get to movie time that normally comes afterward they will just have to keep working until it is done.
The other thing I do to make it fun for them is turn on kids upbeat music and make it a contest of who can do it the fatest. My 7 year old loves that!!
I also have a special Kool Aid that I give them called %26quot;Cleaning Monster Fuel%26quot; when they drink it they are turned into cleaning monsters who can%26#039;t help but clean up!
In the afternoon we have our %26quot;afternoon chores%26quot; which is laundry and sweeping etc.. then we get to go swimming or have free play time.
The trick is to make it rountine, if you are a full time working Mom I know it is harder. I have been both and currently I have to stay home and be on %26quot;bed Rest%26quot; while awaiting the birth of our third baby.
Best of luck!! I hope this helps,
Getting my 9 and 6 year old to help out w chores is like pulling teeth. What can I do to motivate them?Reward?
Pay them an allowance.
Reply:I would use a reward chart like the SuperNanny does on TV
Reply:I don%26#039;t see anything wrong with a reward system that is based upon their level of responsibilities around the house. I saw on a show once (probably one of those Nanny shows...) where the kids had to earn their privileges. The more responsibility and respect the kids showed, the bigger the privileges. It was set up on a ladder that was drawn on a corkboard so they could use push pins to move up and down the ladder. If the kids were disrespectful or didn%26#039;t do their chores, their push pin got moved down the ladder causing them to lose some privileges. This also gives the kids ownership over whether or not they want the privileges. I would suggest working with your kids on this too so they will be more invested in it. Good luck!!!
Reply:Your a little late w/chores. I%26#039;m starting now while there young they think it%26#039;s fun mine want to feel/do some of the things they see me or my hus do, like cleaning doing dishes etc., now you may need to do the reward or take away some of their fav things until they begin to show they can appreciate by cleaning their rooms or different parts of the house.
Reply:Do they get an allowance for chores? If so assign an amount of the allowance to each chore they have. Let them know they will only be paid if they do the chores and do them with out you having to say anything. If they don%26#039;t do them subtract the amount for each undone chore from the amount they get.
With the six year old though you can always turn cleaning in to a game.
Reply:you should start them with chores while there still in diapers..and make it like a game with a reward system both my boys love to clean and i started them with chores at about one in a half of corse i had to redo a lot of what they did but they just loved helping out and they got better as they got older...i still remember when my oldest threw a tantrum because grandma wouldnt let him help vaccum..lol that was sooo funny
Reply:You could possibly start by having them work WITH you, side by side. Most kids enjoy this, rather than being sent off to do chores alone. This will enable you to spend fun one-on-one time with them, as well as being a training time so they learn how to do things RIGHT. You could approach it like, %26quot;Sarah, I%26#039;ll bet NO ONE in your class knows how to do _____! C%26#039;mon, I%26#039;ll teach you how! We can do it together!%26quot;
Both kids should also be responsible for daily chores. You should make a chart, although maybe not quite yet - make sure they have the skills to complete the chores first - and there should be things that they do every single day. I started a chore chart for my kids when they were 8 %26amp; 9. Each week, one time they wash the dishes, put them away, do their laundry, clean the main bathroom, take out all the trash, bring in trashcans, have their rooms perfectly clean, clean out the car, and probably a few other things. Then a few times/wk they take care of the dog, fill water bottles and put them in the fridge, and other things I can%26#039;t remember. They have gotten quite proficient at many skills. They are 11 and 12 now, and now in addition to the regular things they do get other things assigned as the need arises [like when we are having company, teehee]. They are now completely competent at caring for the home, other than cooking. But they wouldn%26#039;t starve if I broke my leg and was laid up for a few weeks either. They know how to do more around the house than most [but not all] college students I know.
There are various schools of thought on rewarding kids for chores. Some people do, while others say that the child gets food and shelter and has to contribute to the family. I don%26#039;t know what position is correct here! Certainly you should not reward your child for every single thing - real life is not like that - but in real life at a job, you do get a lot more kudos/raises/privileges for working well. I think that what is more important is a child%26#039;s attitude toward work - are they always trying to get out of work, or to make absolutely SURE that their sib does not do one ounce less of work than they do? They need to LEARN to work, and it is a learned trait just like everything else. Kids are not born wanting to work, so this is something to work on patiently and firmly. Do not allow complaining - when mine were small and complained about work, my philosophy was that they needed to %26#039;practice working%26#039; till they could do it with a good attitude. One of them had to %26#039;practice working%26#039; probably 3x about the age of 6 or 7, and it was so funny to see him doing the extra things I had assigned with a BIG SMILE and singing cheerfully, to show me that he was working happily so he could STOP. The other one NEVER had to practice working because she learned from her brother%26#039;s example...
Reply:I would not reward them for something they need to do. Start taking things away from them. Rewarding them is telling them if they want nothing do nothing. If you take things away they learn they need to do or they get less freedom.
Never could understand rewarding kids for doing something they are supposed to do. Reward only if they do with out asking.
Reply:If you have an allowance system with no responsibilities, END IT.
Set up a commission system where they get paid for chores they do. Some chores are required just being a member of the family, but others have a set pay rate. If they don%26#039;t do chores, DO NOT give them any money. Have them be responsible for funding their own items. If they want to go to the movies, they use their own money. If they want to go out with friends, they use their own money. They save for larger items they want and learn the value of a dollar. If they want those $50 pair of jeans, you get ths picture.
This only works if you don%26#039;t just hand them cash in a weak moment.
Reply:Something that really help us was what I liked to call %26quot;powerpoints%26quot;.
The reward was at the end of the week. But the extent of it was based on points.
They need 100 points to ___________
The need 200 points to ___________
If they didn%26#039;t get they points, they didn%26#039;t get to do it.
It requires some keeping track on our part, but it%26#039;s amazing how good they get at this.
Putting away clothes that were folded on the step. . . 5 points.
Cleaning up their own plate after dinner, and wiping up their area.. . 5 points.
Making their bed in the morning and taking their laundry into the laundry room. . . 5 points.
IT%26#039;s amazing how good they get at keeping track of their own points. But I kept a notebook.
Here%26#039;s the catch. . . If I had to tell my kids to do it, I gave them 5 points. If they did something without me asking them to
I gave them %26quot;Think-for-your-self%26quot; points, which encouraged them not to ask me what to do.
These points were huge 20 points!!
They looked for thing to do that I didn%26#039;t ask them to do just to get the %26quot;think-for-yourself-points%26quot;.
You can probably figure something out for yourself, but points can really work with competive boys.
Especially rewarding them for figuring out something on their own that needs to be done, like %26quot;taking the trash out because it%26#039;s full%26quot;. And you don%26#039;t even have to ask.
Reply:A lot of parents have the misconception that it%26#039;s an OPTION for their kids to do chores and help around the house. In my house it%26#039;s mandatory. My 12 year old is responsible for making sure his room is clean, doing the dishes, and taking out the kitchen trash. My 6 year old is responsible for making sure her room is clean, the small trash (bathrooms and bedrooms) is taken out, and her toy room is kept neat. If you start early and teach them responsibility it%26#039;s a lesson well learned. I see so many parents saying.. %26quot;oh I can%26#039;t get little Bobby to do chores to save my life%26quot;. Well, that%26#039;s because little Bobby is being ASKED to do them.. and not told. You are the parent.. set rules and enforce them. Simple as that.
Reply:I think that if you want them to do chores give a reward each time untill they get used to doing chores.
Good luck!!
Reply:No, no rewards, and don%26#039;t have allowance tied to chores.
Everyone in the family must work together to keep the family going and the house in shape. The children just need to help out as a matter of course. They MUST do certain chores, aside from keeping their own rooms clean.

I heard that the stuff they numb you with when pulling teeth can close off your airway is this true?
Novocaine is just a tranquilizer, it puts your brain in an unconscious state. It doesn%26#039;t affect your esophagus, so no, it can%26#039;t close off your air way. :)

What is your attitude about studying? Is studying like pulling teeth for you?
How can you apply some of the above tips and make studying less onerous or frustrating?
What is your attitude about studying? Is studying like pulling teeth for you?
Studying should be fun.
When you are under pressure, what you are learning would be useless. Think of the benefits if you know all those things.Think of what advantages will they bring you. Think about how bright your future might be. Think about all those good things. Then, study in different ways, Textbooks, Exercises, Applets, Animation, Internet, Real-Life Experience, Discussion, et cetera. Studying can be everywhere, even we Yahoo! Answers people are studying right now, studying from each other.
After all, studying should be fun and not %26quot;killing%26quot;.
Reply:I take mental notes in class. I don%26#039;t think I%26#039;ve ever *studied* for a test that wasn%26#039;t a memorization test.
Reply:It%26#039;s agonizing for me, unless it%26#039;s a topic that I like.
Reply:No i was one of those lucky jammy people who studied non turned up to class even less and aced all my exams.
Reply:Where%26#039;s your competitive spirit? A test is just a competition between you and the rest of your classmates. Are they better than you? Smarter than you? Are you going to let them beat you? Then gloat how smart they are? Studying is your pre-game training. Train hard. Then crush the smarmy little brats.
Reply:To me, it depends on what I%26#039;m studying. Things that are the most interesting are the easiest to study. But if I despise a class, I really have to get away from ALL distractions and be in a place that%26#039;s quiet...like right now I need to be writing a paper, but this is MUCH more interesting, unfortunately.
Reply:studying is great- if i am in a mood conducive to it. it all depends whats going on that day etc etc. no its not like pulling teeth but it certainly is more successful when i%26#039;m in the right frame of my mind
Reply:it%26#039;s something that you have to do....so if you want to pass, it%26#039;s just a given
the hardest thing for me is finding time to study....other than that, it%26#039;s not that bad
Reply:It depends on what i study! When i was studying for school, most of the lessons were loss of time for me! In the university studying became more interesting! Now that i am working and i have to study for my work, i love it, such as i love my work! In my spare time, i am reading books that i like, so it%26#039;s not like pulling my teeth! So try to read only things you like!
Reply:well it%26#039;s not too hard just learn what you like, what you want to find out about things. Or when you really have to do something combine it with something you like to do for example every time i have to do maths i listen to music. so everyone should find out for himself what he likes to do most and combine it with studying. Or one can study with friends its a lot more fun

Best f**king bass solo = anesthesia pulling teeth?
oh wow........when the drums kick in half way.......oh wowwwwwwwwwwwwowowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...
cliff burton best bass player ever?~_~__~~_~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...
Best f**king bass solo = anesthesia pulling teeth?
I%26#039;m not that big of a Metallica fan, but I have to agree. Burton was one of the most incredible bassist ever. That solo is pretty much unparalelled.
John Entwhistle of the Who has some incredible bass solos as well. %26quot;My Generation%26quot; has one of their best and most well known.
And don%26#039;t ask people their opinion then b*tch them out when they give it to you.

Has Cliff Burton's Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) ever been played by later Metallica bassists?
I remember reading somewhere that after the death of bass master Cliff Burton, Anesthesia was rarely played live. Rarely is the key word - does that mean that Jason or Rob have ever played it live? If so, could somebody post a video? I%26#039;m just interested in seeing how well they played it if they did.

Which fiction "genre" is like pulling teeth to get you to read?

Which fiction %26quot;genre%26quot; is like pulling teeth to get you to read?
I tried once to read one of those so-called %26quot;Romance%26quot; novels....I laughed my way through chapter 1 and trash-canned it before I had finished chapter 2.
How can people read that crapola????

Sex life is like pulling teeth!!?
Me and my girlfriend have been dating 3-4 months and sex dropped down to 2 times a week. We sleep in the same bed almost 5 days a week! When we first met it was a daily a daily fiesta in the pantalones!!!=) Now her stomach always hurts or shes too tired. She says she feels like she married. Is this a sign?? Is she banging someone else?
Sex life is like pulling teeth!!?
Could she be pregnant? Things happen. If you didn%26#039;t use protection just one time, or the condom broke, she could very well be pregnant.
Reply:Maybe shes pregnant and you both dont know it. maybe shes getting bored of it.
Reply:not nessesarily, it is maybe that you have got so used to each other that if she doesn%26#039;t feel like it she feels okay to tell you that she can%26#039;t be bothered or it could be true that her stomache hurts, try talking to her or take her to the doctors.
Reply:lol no shes not seeing no one else i used to do the same thing daily it was HOT,SPICY AND DAILY WE COULD GO ON AND ON but i dont know what happened either i just didnt feel like it no more maybe u should wait a while untill she needs it then fiesta again good luck
Reply:There may be other issues going on with her. Maybe she is tired, but the stomach aches concern me. She may be feeling guilty about sex outside of marriage. I would find out what the real deal is with her. Has the talk of marriage entered your conversations?

Why is it like pulling teeth when trying to get my family to do something for me?
My mom just got awful chest pains and i have the flu A couple of days ago someone slashed my tires a second time after I got them fixed My mom has diabetes and heart problems. So being that Im sick and my tires are down I cant take my mom to the e.r. So I call my aunt (my mom lended her thousands of dollars and she didnt even pay it back and I helped her mooching daughter out when no one else would) and she had the nerve to say %26quot;Why are you calling me so late I have to throw my grandbaby a birthday party tomorrow%26quot; this was after I told her that her sister needed her to take her to the emergency room. The nerve of that *****. What am I suppose to do I%26#039;m 19 years old and everyone still looks at me like a child and then expects me to do grown up **** when they need ME I want to end this cycle of abuse please help because i refuse to be used anymore and i refuse to let them keep doing this to my mother This is only one example of millions.
Why is it like pulling teeth when trying to get my family to do something for me?
It might just be the time to cut financial ties with them. Obviously they are being abusive of the benefits your mother has for them. It seems like your mom is on your side, so it will take corralling your mom around the idea of cutting the financial opportunities from them.
I don%26#039;t know if you have already, but I would report to the police about your tires being slashed on your car. Repeat occurances make it look a lot more targeted than if it was a randomized attack.
I am going to pray for your mom%26#039;s dealings with diabetes %26amp; heart issues. Feel free to pray it as you read or whatever.
Dear Father,
You know the needs of this family. Father we just thank you that all the needs here are met, whether this be transportation or healing. Lord we know that there is an enemy out there that steals, kills, and destroys so we just plea the blood of Jesus over this family. We thank you that by doing this the devil no longer has an opportunity to destroy transportation, steal money from them, or try to choke out either of their lives by sickness of any kind. I thank you that this is done because you died on the cross so that we would have victory over the works of the devil. I pray Lord that if this precious family does not know about Your salvation that you would send people along their paths to show them Your love. I pray that they will find a church where they can go to learn more about Your benefits. I love you Lord for who you are and what you%26#039;re doing in this family! Praise You, God!
Amen.

A lot of times family is just selfish, I%26#039;ve seen and known a lot of people like that. If I know a person is like that it shouldn%26#039;t matter if they%26#039;re %26quot;family%26quot; or not. It%26#039;s soon better to just cut ties with them if they aren%26#039;t being a family to you.
Reply:Try being a straight-shooter because doing things the way you have been is not working for you.
When you call your aunt for help and she rebukes, remind her that A) she is your mother%26#039;s sister, and if that is not enough, B) that when your mother was able, she lent your aunt money! If she does not step up to the plate, WRITE HER OFF! STOP giving abusive, neglectful people second and third opportunities to abuse you!
Remember this line, %26quot;You teach people how to treat you.%26quot; It means that by allowing people to treat you badly, you are teaching them that it is okay to treat you badly.
As for the emergency room visit and the disabled car, either call an ambulance or a cab, depending on the severity of your mom%26#039;s condition.
Reply:If I were you and had physical proof of letting them borrow money, I would tell them to pay up and maybe even take them to court. It sounds low, but you know what, you treat people how they treat you.
You could also just stop helping them out, and even if your family members come crying asking for money, don%26#039;t let them borrow money anymore! Next time, see if a neighbor can help you out, or better yet, call the taxi... maybe next time you should call the ambulance, but maybe this time wasn%26#039;t too much of an emergency. I%26#039;d say a neighbor or taxi is your best bet.
Don%26#039;t forget to file a police report of having your tires slashed. Because if you happen to see who it is, and you want to take them to court or what not, you will need physical evidence that you had previously filed a police report.
Good luck to you and your mom! :)

Why is it like pulling teeth to get an employer to offer you a job?
Why? You going to work for a Dentist?
Why is it like pulling teeth to get an employer to offer you a job?
Because there is so many job applicants they have choice and power to freely choose whoever they want and there%26#039;s always someone more qualified than you nowadays since the job market is a bit crappy.
Reply:they want ya to brown nose
Reply:Thats like saying you never leave your house and you wonder why you never meet anyone.... you need to be proactive in your own future. Employers are not mind readers.. if you want the job then make it known.
Reply:yup it sucks. they kind of string you along :/ kind of going through that right now.
Reply:They can smell that you need the job. You really have to work with your brain. Every job I ever got was because I really wasn%26#039;t too sure that the employer was good enough for me. That sounds arrogant but it%26#039;s just a tool. Think of reasons why you would believe that and then believe it. It works.
Reply:Just believe that no matter the job you are applying for you are good enough for. Not less it is something you know nothing about, that%26#039;s another subject. But no job is to good, not less you need the extra schooling. So just do your best at knowing you do qualify and believe. Above all don%26#039;t brown nose to get it. Be yourself at who you are, trying to be who you aren%26#039;t they can usually smell.
Reply:It really is difficul getting a job, took me 9 months before I found one. My sister always says that one should go into an interview expecting to get the job, and should use the opportunity to interview your prospective employer instead of just letting him interview you. In the end, confidence and a strong belief in your own skills go a long way to gettting that elusive job offer.

Why is it like pulling teeth to get a word of encouragement?
Why is it when someone asks a question about something that is frustrating them, like a job loss, or are just angry about something, that NO one can give a word or encouragement or %26quot;empathize%26quot; with that person? They seem to always give advise but few ever say these words... %26quot;I know how you feel%26quot;. You know, that would be the best answer in the whole world and that is all anyone looks for when they ask for advice.
Giving advice without walking a mile in their shoes, is like an arrogant thing to do...... just say %26quot;I know how you feel%26quot; %26quot;I have been there too%26quot;, %26quot;It will get better%26quot; or %26quot;Smile, Jesus loves you%26quot;. How does the song "Pulling Teeth" by Green Day relate to psychology?
How does this song relate to psychology (in any way possible)
Here are the lyrics:
I%26#039;m all busted up
Broken bones and nasty cuts
Accidents will happen
But this time I can%26#039;t get up
She comes to check on me
Making sure I%26#039;m on my knees
After all she%26#039;s the one
Who put me in this state
Is she ultra-violent?
Is she disturbed?
I better tell her that I love her
Before she does it all over again
Oh god, she%26#039;s killing me!!!
For now I%26#039;ll lie around
Hell, that%26#039;s all I can really do
She takes good care of me
Just keep saying my love is true
Is she ultra-violent?
Is she disturbed?
I better tell her that I love her
Before she does it all over again
Oh god, she%26#039;s killing me!!!
Looking out my window for
Someone that%26#039;s passing by
No one knows I%26#039;m locked in here
All I do is cry
For now I%26#039;ll lie around
hell, that%26#039;s all I can really do
She takes good care of me
Just keep saying my love is true
How does the song %26quot;Pulling Teeth%26quot; by Green Day relate to psychology?
the fact that the love for someone was given so strongly and in return was nothing caused the person to steer into severe depression. after that, all you need to do is explain a little bit on how the lyrics tie into that (give some lyrics for support) and talk a little bit about depression itself.
hope this helps. i%26#039;m not that much of a Green Day fan but i still like listening to songs that have hidden meanings
Reply:I%26#039;m pretty sure they have a Sub/Dom relationship, at least psychologically.
She%26#039;s eating him up, and all he has to do is stick around and say his love is true.
It is a sad song.
I still love Green Day, though:)
Good luck

Help pulling teeth?
my little sister has a loose tooth that just wont come out. How can i get it out without hurting her or using too much force?
Help pulling teeth?
just because its loose doenst mean its ready to come out! But if your persistent in pulling it... try putting orajel around it. It numbs a little.
Reply:if u tryin pulling it gently and it dont come then its not ready to come out yet,
Reply:Perhaps have her bite into an apple/pear
or just let it fall by itself it should eventually..sometimes in her sleep
Reply:Have her take a Tylenol or put some orajel on it to numb and just pull it out.
Reply:this is wat i always did to mine tell her to sit there and twist it for like a min and then try puling on it then try the twisting again but just keep doing that i usually got mine out as soon as they were loose by doing that
Reply:It isn%26#039;t a good idea to pull the tooth out. It isn%26#039;t ready if it won%26#039;t come with a gentle pull. If you pull it out the new tooth can grow in crooked.

What possible reason for pulling canine teeth???
we just rescued a dog from someone who could no longer keep their pets!!! she is a female pug, supposedly about 5 yrs. old, and, was used for breeding!! we don%26#039;t have any papers on her, can%26#039;t find the owner, and don%26#039;t really know anything much about dogs, at least not this!! any reason why they would have pulled her teeth?
What possible reason for pulling canine teeth???
I can only think of 2 reasons:
First - legitimate dental care as a result of decay/injury etc. Some breeds seem to have a pre-disposition towards tooth decay, and if the tooth isn%26#039;t pulled you risk abscesses forming. More usually, it%26#039;s a result of poor diet and the owner not acting soon enough to get the teeth cleaned.
Second - keeping too many dogs in crowded conditions, and rather than dealing with the issues and improving conditions for the dogs, their teeth are pulled so they can%26#039;t do as much damage to each other in fights. I have only heard of this a few times, but no-one really knows without seeing the conditions this dog came from.
Reply:tooth decay, a specific tooth condition, who the hell knows? look up any types of tooth conditions available in dogs.
Reply:You mean they pulled all her teeth? I hope not.
Pulling any teeth could mean they were decaying %26amp; if left in could cause an infection in the dog.
I don%26#039;t even want to think that they may have pulled her teeth so she wouldn%26#039;t bite.
Pugs are on the top of the list for affection %26amp; loyalty.
They do snore %26amp; sometimes have breathing problems.
Pugs shouldn%26#039;t be overheated either.
Good Luck. Glad you rescued her.
Reply:Decay, the only reason a vet would. Or they were knocked out, also my dog has one missing in front bottom and I never seen why or how. Mine is a pit bull and chews everything, from sticks to rocks. If there is no pain or inflammation now, I wouldn%26#039;t worry as long as she can eat. Nice of you to rescue!
Reply:rotten? are you sure they have been pulled?? sometimes active chewing dogs wear their teeth down to nubs.. she could be missing teeth from a genetic fault... ugh... what a mess.
Reply:If the dog had severe tooth decay or an infection I could see doing it. I would say you should go have your dog checked out by a vet because there could be some other health issues.
Reply:LMFAO!!!!
%26quot;WHY%26quot;???
Cuz they were ROTTEN!!!!
Probably NOT %26quot;pulled%26quot;= just ROTTED RIGHT OUT!!!
Reply:Probably all rotted out. Dental problems are common with toy breeds.
Reply:they may not have been pulled. The canines caneasily be broken by chewing things that perhaps shouldn%26#039;t be chewed, like cage bars, or even bones. If other teeth are also missing, particularly premolars (that%26#039;d be the teeth between the canines and the real molars), then your dog may have had serious dental trouble and needed to have the teeth removed. But if only the canines are missing i%26#039;d bet she%26#039;s simply broken them off.

What should be the cost of pulling 21 teeth and installing dentures?
My wife has trouble with her teeth and does not have a good bite as it were. She has had poor history with regards to crowns, 4 of them having to be pulled shortly after installation. She has two teeth that have recently chipped. The dentist says we need to get dentures either with implants or without to support them. She has 21 teeth and one dentist says to install crowns and partials. But he is not realizing that crowns don%26#039;t work on my wife. So we have a situation that crowns don%26#039;t work on. What price have you seen for removal of 21 teeth and installation of upper and lower dentures?
What should be the cost of pulling 21 teeth and installing dentures?
YOU MUST FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF
Reply:it depends how much your insurance will cover and how much your dentist will charge but if you have no insurance then you%26#039;ll end up spending alot of money
Reply:im sorry but i cant understand the situation that crowns don%26#039;t work on, or 4 of them having to be pulled shortly after installation part. there is not a situation that crowns dont work. maybe, she will need to use braces for a short period of time to fix the teeth position before trying to use crowns or partials again.
anyways, she should not to remove 21 teeth unless it is extremely necessary. remember there is nothing as better as our teeth, implants will never work as good as our teeth does.
Reply:roundabout figure $2000.00 - $4000.00 give or take the procedure and extent.

Consequences of not pulling wisdom teeth?
I have one wisdom that is hurting. Last night it hurt so much i couldn%26#039;t really get any sleep for about 6 hours. I don%26#039;t plan on pulling the wisdom tooth out, so what are the consequences? Is the pain going to go away after my 2nd molar dies? And when do these wisdom tooth stop growing?
Consequences of not pulling wisdom teeth?
None of your molars are going to die. I%26#039;d love to know where you heard that! Your wisdoms are probably heard them because they are impacted somehow. You need to get them out before they cause even more problems, like infection and so on. It%26#039;s going to continue to hurt until you get them out. If it hurts that bad, why wouldn%26#039;t you want them out???
Reply:The pain and problems your wisdom teeth are causing you will not go away or get better, they may subside for a while but will eventually get worse. The call of course is completely yours. Just thought you should know, also the longer you wait and the older you get the more difficult it becomes to extract your wisdom teeth, age 17-21 is really ideal. Good luck.
Reply:If you%26#039;re in pain, one of two things could be happening:
1) Your tooth is impacted, growing in wrong, or causing your other teeth to crowd, because there is not enough room in your mouth.
2) Your tooth is infected. If you leave an infected tooth to fester, the infection can go to your brain and you will probably die.
The pain will not go away.
You need to see a dentist.
There may be other options besides pulling your tooth out.
You may be able to just get it repaired.
Just go see a dentist, k?

Does pulling wisdom teeth hurt?
They%26#039;re going in to pull down a molar thats not coming in and they decided to add taking both of my upper wisdom teeth.
From people that have had them taken out - does it hurt? how much? does it hurt after?
:( ♥
Does pulling wisdom teeth hurt?
They took out both my bottom wisdom teeth. Well they numb your teeth with an injection. They then shaved part of my gums off then then pulled my teeth out. After that they sew it back... It doesn%26#039;t hurt when its numb but after that you gotta buy some pain reliever medicine or it%26#039;ll hurt when the doctor%26#039;s numbing medicine wares off.
So yeah it can hurt once the medicine is up to its limit thats why you take pain relievers. Also your cheeks get really huge and round and you can%26#039;t eat whatever you want. Yeah I know it sucks but it%26#039;ll only last up to a week.
Well good luck and hope it isn%26#039;t too bad. ;)
Reply:To be honest, it hurts a lot. But they give you medicine for the pain.
Reply:i had all 4 of mine taken out at once, they knock you out so while the surgery is going on you dont feel a thing! once you wake up your all loopy because they give you so many drugs but its awesome! i didnt feel a thing, i was just tired and groggy for a few days. they give you medicine to take if you start to feel some pain, which you probably will, but its nothing! i would totally do it again haha, those pills were DANK!
Reply:my sister had that done.
she said it didn%26#039;t hurt. she couldn%26#039;t talk for a whole day and she was very drowsy

Reply:yes
Reply:it hurts when they pull them out but after a couple of hours it stops hurting then for two day it feel like you have a space
Reply:It%26#039;s not painless, but is not that bad. You have to keep the area clean with some warm salt water and do exactly as the dentist tells you. I had mine out with just novicane.
Reply:Having my wisdom teeth pulled was one of the worst experiences of my entire life. Make sure you have a supply of pain medication that causes drowsiness to get you through. Almost everyone has been through it, so you%26#039;ll be fine. I just had to be honest, though.
Reply:I dont know if pulling wisdom teeth hurt
but i got my back tooth pulled when i was 13 and it hurt pretty bad but thats cause they gave me anestetic it hurts for like 2 hors after
Reply:The pain after wards isnt neer as bad as the pain you will have if they start cutting throught the skin and giving you trouble! What they will do is give you laughing gas or give you medicine to put you to sleep for about two hours and then youll be done! Oh what you do is they dont really pull them they will cut them out! They will put cotton in the back of your mouth and you will change them out when they get to wet! They will also give you pain pills and the most pain you will feel is a little soreness in you gums and jaw! Dont worry about it, its a minor procedure! you will pretty much be completley healed in about a week! good luck and dont worry! ♥
Reply:No ok and im the BIGGEST whimp in the world.. i wouldnt even get out of the car when i was going to get my done.. but they put u out quick, u wake up and have pain medicine already ready for u... i had all 4 out and they were under the gum... it wasnt that bad.. just a tip LOTS OF ICING.... helps the swelling
Reply:lol well they drugged me pretty bad and when they took it out they showed me and I laughed. But i%26#039;m pretty out there with the laughing gas so it wasn%26#039;t that bad...hated the gauze though...got all soggy...

Does pulling wisdom teeth hurt????
Help. Dentists and orthodontists and all those people suck. I was supposed to get my braces off in June...then the end of the summer...now its the end of summer and they%26#039;re saying november. WTF?
Besides that they%26#039;re going in to pull down a molar thats not coming in and they decided to add taking both of my upper wisdom teeth.

Does pulling wisdom teeth hurt????
Sad truth: dentists and orthodontists all make money from removing your teeth. Yes, you%26#039;ll have a nice smile at the end, but often times their surgerys are not 100% necessary.
But let%26#039;s say that they are...removing your wisdoms doesn%26#039;t hurt if you%26#039;re knocked out for it like I was. Afterwards it DOES hurt, but it%26#039;s like a dull ache and they give you REALLY fun pain medicine to cope with it. Don%26#039;t worry about the pain. Honestly, the worst part for me was how my face was swollen so I looked like a chipmunk for three days. Fortunately I was on the meds so I just giggled through most of it like a little school girl.

Reply:If you take anesthia, it won%26#039;t hurt until you wake up from after the operation because you don%26#039;t feel it when they are pulling them out.
Reply:wisdome teeth dont hurt while they take them out. you usually have novacaine and in some instances they will give you laughing gas or even sedate you if your insurance will cover it. however, some people notice more pain after the teeth have been pulled. usually a few hours after the teeth have been pulled the pain starts. the docs usually give you pain killers to help or a high dose of ibuprofen. everyone is different and it depends on your pain tolerance. dont worry about them taking the teeth out its what it feel like after the teeth are out that is painful. but prehaps you will not be in much pain at all...you just dont know! good luck and hope all goes well!!
Reply:I had my wisdom teeth taken out and I had 0 problems or pain!! Mine were broken off and in really bad shape too. I had mine pulled out by an oral surgeon who was GREAT!! He put me out so there was NO pain felt by me during the pulling. Maybe you should look into that. I didn%26#039;t even have any pain or swelling after it was done..didn%26#039;t even have the perscription for pain killers filled. Don%26#039;t be too worried. Most people just like to scare you when it comes to the dentist as if you already aren%26#039;t scared enough on your own.
You%26#039;ll be fine. Maybe talk to your dentist about referring you to an oral surgeon..then he can put you out for the procedure!!

or, %26quot;You may experience a little discomfort.%26quot;
Reply:my dentist did the exact same thing... I don%26#039;t even remember the pain at all anymore.... besides you can take medicine to not feel that much pain
Reply:The upper wisdom teeth are the least painful to get out. They generally sedate you so you don%26#039;t feel anything during. I felt a little pain afterwards, but pain medicine, ice, and lots of rest helped. I was eating normally (big sandwiches and all) in two or three days. After about a day and a half, all I had was stiffness.
The small pain you go through now is completely worth it. My wisdom teeth were impacted and partially sticking through my gums. It felt as if I was constantly teething for about four months. If you do let your wisdom teeth in, they are difficult to clean and your gums can get infected.
Trust me, short term pain is better than what can happen.
Here%26#039;s my dentist%26#039;s website about wisdom teeth. Maybe it will help you.

Also I got sick 2 days in a row from the anthesia they gave me. I couldnt eat anything without it coming back up. Its been a good 2 and a half weeks and Im fine and still healing. My gums r healing(or trying) and my stitches r falling out. My jaw still hurts a bit ever now and then but other than that I am fine now.Oh and I can%26#039;t open my mouth very wide yet...but ya..

Reply:i know it is very frightening, but if the dentist thinks you are better without them, you would have to have them out sometime, better now, be brave and you will be and look better at the end of the treatment. i am terrified everytime i go to the dentist but i look better with 3 new crowns. good luck
Reply:I%26#039;m an Oral surgery assistant and we pull 4 wisdom teeth out at a time. In my opinion I%26#039;d get them all done at once. You will get pain medication that will work for all 3 teeth. They all heal at one time so you only go through the pain once instead of 3 different times. As your dentist for some laughing gas that will also help
Reply:\I%26#039;m not familiar with the sedative tablet, but having 3 out at one go IS DEFINITELY better than having 1 out, having the gum heal, then the next etc.
It means a fair bit of discomfort for a relatively short time and then things can only get better.
I would suggest taking a baseball bat to the dentists and as you enter remark %26quot;now we%26#039;re not going to hurt each other now are we ?%26quot;
Reply:I have had all of my top teeth pulled and when I got home I had some tylonol and it didn%26#039;t hurt me. If you have some pain killers, take them 1 hour before you go in because giving the shot in the upper gums hurt but when its over, the pain only lasts for a little while.
Reply:they pulled 5 of my teeth over a five 5 period(they said my chin was small and also for orthodontic treatment) they never gave me sedative pills (just a nasty spray at first then the needle in my gums) your lucky with the sedative pills I bet you wont even feel any things your gums are gonna feel like they are balloons that are inflating its a funny feeling
but why canine teeth those are important
Reply:Best of luck x
Reply:You really are worrying arent you,i do sympathise,i hate going to the dentist but remember its the worry before hand thats the worst,i have had teeth out, once five in one go and i can honestly say,i did not feel a thing,i went in a quivering wreck and left elated,so please try to relax, good luck.
Reply:i had 4 out to be honest a don%26#039;t remember any pain,i do remember the crunching noise, you will be fine good luck oh best to get it done in one go save going through it again and again
